Visit to London's Air Ambulance At The Royal London

Some of you may remember that we were lucky enough to be visited by one of the London Air Ambulance team some time ago and we are very excited that they have invited us to an event they are holding at the Royal London Hospital.

The afternoon would run from approximately 2pm to 4pm on 11 March 2013 and we would need to arrive by 1.45pm. It would encompass a talk AND a trip to the helipad, a closer look at a rapid response car and a talk about their work from one of the London’s Air Ambulance team.

If you are interested in attending this event please drop Niki an email on niki.stevens@btinternet.com as soon as you can and please do feel free to bring a friend or family member.

january refresh!

Bad hair day?  Feeling dowdy? Don't worry.  We're planning to start the New Year with a bit of a re-fresh.   We've invited Claire Hair to our January meeting on 15th January to show us how to get into a bit of a vintage vibe and try out an up-do or two. Claire will be looking for a couple of volunteers, so be prepared.  Sallie Mendel, a colour consultant, will also be joining us to offer some advice on discovering the colours that bring a bit of zing to our personal style.  We're hoping for a relaxed evening, no pressure, to ease us into 2013.  We're meeting as usual- at St Margaret's House, Old Ford Road, London E2 9PL, 7pm for a 7.30pm start.  As usual, tea and coffee will be available, plus a glass of wine for a small donation. Non-members welcome, £3 donation. No doubt there will be a little bit of cake goodness available, though we might try to keep it on the healthy side for those who are trying to discard some of that festive excess.

By special request we'll be having coffee at the Larder again later in the week.  Because it does toast. Friday 18th January, 10.30am, 211-243 Globe Road E2 0JD.  All women welcome - and children. You have to pay for your own drinks, mind.  And toast.
